9mm AR-15 RIFLE
This project is the second in our series of handgun chambered AR15's. Quite simply handgun caliber AR15's make sense for a few reasons.
- Common ammunition to handguns
- Cheaper to shoot than centerfire AR15's
- No recoil
- Reduced penetration in a home or personal defense situation
- Subsonic for suppressed use which is especially useful in a home or personal defense situation
- Typically higher capacity than their handgun counterparts
As always I will explain my hardware choices in the sections below.
One of the primary reasons I selected the CMMG 9mm AR-15 UPPER RECEIVER was that it it does not require a special 9MM AR15 HAMMER like most other 9mm AR15 UPPERS. I like this because I can utilize the aftermarket trigger of my choice. The other reason I selected the CMMG 9mm AR-15 UPPER RECEIVER over the competition was previous experience with CMMG. I have found their products to be a good value compared to cost.
