ADVANCED ARMAMENT Blackout Muzzle Brake

Advanced Armament has developed a line of ultra-high-performance muzzle brakes for tactical and sporting applications where reduced recoil and fast follow-up shots are critically important. The BLACKOUT™ line of muzzle brakes has the same fast-attach feature found on Advanced Armament flash suppressors that enable users to install or remove a silencer in seconds using gross motor skills. When used in conjunction with a silencer, the BLACKOUT™ muzzle brake acts as an auxiliary blast chamber and protects the interior of the silencer from the erosive effects of unconsumed propellant-blasting. Each muzzle brake is constructed of heat treated stainless steel with a matte black SCARmor™ coating for additional surface hardness and corrosion resistance. BLACKOUT™ muzzle brakes are available in most popular thread patterns and are compatible with Advanced Armament fast-attach and Ratchet-Mount™ silencers. CAA MGRIP1

Command Arms Accessories (CAA) has introduced their new MGRIP1, a finger groove magazine grip that provides the operator with three ergonomic indentations for comfortable finger placement.  Since a significant number of shooters like to hold onto the magazine well to provide shooting stability CAA’s new ambidextrous grip provides a comfortable solution. Positioned at a balancing point on the rifle, the grip offers a comfortable no slip carry option and a plugged waterproof storage compartment for batteries or other small objects. On both sides of the grip are removable covers for the recessed pressure switch mounting channels. The lightweight 3.2 oz grip mounts to any Picatinny rail with a vice like screw-tightened clamping mechanism and provides the operator with a comfortable forward grasp.

WILSON COMBAT 6.8 SPC

After a tremendous amount of research and testing by Bill Wilson and the Wilson Combat team, the company has come out with custom AR platform rifles chambered in 6.8 SPC caliber.

The 6.8 SPC (6.8×43mm) was developed by the United States Army Marksmanship Unit to offer superior downrange lethality over the 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington in an AR pattern service rifle, with minimal loss of magazine capacity and a negligible increase in recoil.

Boasting outstanding accuracy and reliability, the 6.8 SPC is capable of pushing a .277 caliber, 85gr bullet to over 2900 FPS with their match-grade, Spec II chambered 16” barrels. Appropriate hand loading can achieve even higher velocities and enable the use of heavier projectiles up to 130 grains, dramatically improving terminal ballistics over a 5.56 Nato/.223 Remington at long range.

This added ballistic performance makes the 6.8 SPC perfect for home protection and SRT/SWAT teams. For more information and images, visit www.wilsoncombat.com/h_hog3.asp

DPMS CSAT Perimeter and Tactical Rifles

Developed by DPMS with Paul Howe of Combat Shooting and Tactics, the CSAT Perimeter and Tactical rifles in 5.56×45mm offer users a pair of top-end, limited-edition tactical AR carbines.

Sporting 16” barrels, the primary difference between the two variants is the Perimeter’s heavier contour barrel as compared to the Tactical’s lighter AP4-countour M4-style barrel.

Working in concert with the carbines’ fixed front sight posts is a full-featured detachable rear sight assembly mounted on the A3-style flat-top upper receivers. The rear sight sports the XS Sights CSAT aperture with an ingeniously simple CQB notch cut in its aperture designed for use at 7 yards.

Both carbines feature laser-engraved CSAT markings on the right side of the magazine well on their lower receivers.

GG&G Spring Actuated Flip Up Front Sight

GG&G’s new Spring Actuated Flip Up Front Sight For Tactical Forearms has been redesigned to be lighter in weight and quicker in deployment.  Although specifically designed to provide the correct sight height when mounted on a tactical forearm, the sight can also be installed on gas blocks that are the same height as the upper receiver. During the redesign process, GG&G developed a less expensive method to CNC machine the components which allows for a reduced MSPR while remaining built to quality standards here in the US.

With just a push of a button, the front flip up sight can be quickly deployed on target.  The sight not only springs into an on target position, but solidly locks into the deployed position, preventing accidental depression of the sight during a tactical situation.

GG&G Spring Actuated Flip Up Front Sight

Another push of the button and the sight is free to be folded into the locked down position.  The sight actuator button has been located on the left side of the sight, facilitating easy operation with the off hand, leaving your fire control hand in the proper tactical position—near the trigger.

Not only is the sight set for use on the AR-15, but will co-witness when mounted to the tactical forearm of an AR-10.  The sight stem has been designed to fold rearward.  The dovetail interface can be easily installed with the included wrench.

As an option, a Trijicon Tritium AR-15 Front Sight Post can be ordered with the sight for increased accuracy in low light operations.  This tritium front sight option is the perfect addition for police and tactical users who may be moving in and out of darkness in real time.
